Oh, so much came from the 50's! I'm excited because in history we're doing a project on different decades, andI got the 50's. It should be a lot of fun!! Just looking up some of these things... made me realize that this is one interesting decade. =)

Tickle the Furniture!
I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again, just for good measure -- little kids are the greatest.
Last night I was babysitting four kids - a 4th grader, a 2nd grader, a kindie (the only boy), and a 4 year old. They are some of the coolest kids ever, and I absolutely love babysitting them. At one point, I was dancing with the littlest girl when she suddenly sat down and just stared at me. So I asked, "What's wrong? Don't you like dancing?" After thinking for a second, she said, "No! Well... only with TobyMac." I about died. Later that night, we were watching a movie. The little boy was half asleep in my lap, and the two younger girls were "fixing" my hair that had been through a brutal game of Simon says. I ended up with a flower clip on the top of my head, and one ponytail holding only a small part of my hair. And the two girls were so proud of their masterpiece!
There are so many stories I could tell about these kids, but I don't think I have enough room here. ;)
Really, there is nothing that makes my heart happier than innocent little kids who really love life. I think I have a lot I can learn from them.
